The soothing sound of The Shipping forecast as heard on the BBC first broadcast in 1925, to be heard at 00:48, 05:20, and 17:54 daily. I'm familiar with the early morning broadcast at 00.48, usually after a long day printing, so ~i thought it was perhaps time I actually put them into a print.
