  Stoneacre House is situated on North Street, Scalby, you cannot miss it, a huge tree stands periopusly close to the house. It once belonged to the Chapman's ( local auction house) but has recently been sold. I pass this house at least three or four times a week walking our dog Bob, was it Lily Langtree who stayed there,or was that at Yew Court, one of them. Set in it's own grounds, through the main entrance gate there is a stone built building, with pigeon loft,  which always has several white fantail pigeons either sitting on the roof or congregating near the netrance to their loft
