Dean Road Cemetery is home to many different styles of headstone, built in the 19th Century it was designed as 'such a pleasing place' that people would flock there and take picnics.
I've often cycled thropugh this cemetery on the way into town, stopping to read the various inscriptions. I created this image in homage to my grandmother who would take me as small child to visit her husband.
D is for Dean Road Cemetery , is the fouth page in my limited eidition book titled 'An Alphabet of Scarborouygh', published in an edition of just 26 fully bound copies in 2017
